episil^® oral liquid

Available treatment options for oral mucositis are limited, despite the fact that it is a well-known and often serious complication of cancer therapy. As a result of world-class Swedish engineering, episil^® oral liquid represents an innovative treatment concept for the intraoral pain associated with oral mucositis. episil^® oral liquid is a preservative-free liquid that comes in a convenient, ready-to-use, pocket-sized, multidose device for intraoral administration. episil^® liquid provides pain relief via a mechanical barrier that is formed by the lipids (Ref. 8).

episil^® liquid is based on award-winning FluidCrystal^® technology and contains a patented mixture of phospholipids (soy lecithin) and glycerol dioleate (Ref. 12). After administration, and in contact with small quantities of aqueous fluid present in the oral cavity, the lipid mixture self-assembles to form a robust protective lipid membrane that strongly adheres to the oral mucosa (Ref. 8).

episil^® liquid has shown good local and systemic tolerability in clinical and pre-clinical studies (Ref. 8). episil^® oral liquid can be swallowed.
